Andre founded Coastal Tile & Marble, Inc. in 1992, and has succeeded in creating a prosperous company that has excelled even through difficult economic times. Coastal Tile & Marble specializes in the commercial installation of ceramic, porcelain, quarry and dimensional stone, serving New York City and the tristate area. 

In 2018, Coastal Tile & Marble formed a partnership with Anthony Vespa, announcing the formation of Vespa Stone LLC, a division of Coastal Tile & Marble, Inc.  Since its inception, Vespa Stone has successfully competed for exterior and interior cut-to-size stone projects, including plaza paving, exterior building walls, and interior lobby walls and floors.  Coastal Tile now provides these services to our customers as a complement to our current portfolio of tile and stone work.

Andre is a second-generation business owner, having worked in the tile industry since he was in his teens. He is experienced in all aspects of the business, including financing, estimating, sales, installation, and project, materials and employee management.  Prior to establishing Coastal Tile & Marble, Andre spent 10 years working at Art Tile, Inc., ending his decade of service as President of that multi-million dollar company.

Andre earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Roger Williams University, and served as Instructor of the Dale Carnegie Sales Course in New York City for 7 years.  He is an active member of the Contractors Tile Council of New York and Connecticut.

Andre always finds time to give back to his local community, having served as Director of the Westchester-Putnam Special Olympics, and as President-Commissioner of the Armonk Baseball League. When not playing men’s softball, Andre enjoys skiing and golfing with his wife Janet, riding motorcycles with their two sons, and spending time hiking, skiing, boating and at the beach with their two daughters.
