Vinny began his career in exterior stone at his family’s 2nd generation family owned exterior stone contracting business, Viaggio & Sons Inc. As many successful industry professionals have done, Vinny started in the field first as a runner, helper and stone setter, before moving to Project Manager and Secretary/Treasurer of Viaggio & Sons.
Vinny spent 25 years with the family business before moving on to Port Morris Tile & Marble as Project Manager for their Exterior Stone Division. He spent 12 years at Port Morris, managing exterior stone jobs of all sizes from contract award to closeout. This included overseeing field operations, logistics and safety for all jobs in the field, and traveling to stone quarries to review and approve stone and marble required for all projects. Vinny worked on multiple high profile exterior jobs, including The New Yankee Stadium, 911 Memorial Pools and Plaza, and the FDR Memorial on Roosevelt Island. In 2016, Vinny moved to Jantile as Project manager, overseeing tile, marble and stone work on new high-rise building construction.
Vinny joined Vespa Stone in early 2019 as Project and Operations Manager, putting his expertise and experience in the exterior stone business to work right away. He manages exterior stone jobs of all sizes from contract award to job closeout. He is responsible for overseeing all field operations, including logistics, safety, manpower and supervision.
Vinny earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Finance from St. John’s University and is OSHA 30 certified. When not at work, Vinny volunteers his time in the community in many ways – as head coach for his daughter’s softball team, volunteering at local “Relay for Life” events, and as jack of all trades for family and friend’s local community theater companies. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children, road biking, skiing, traveling, relaxing at the beach, and generally enjoying the great outdoors.
